Welcome to Higher Education
This is typical, and if you are in a summer class... it is even more typical due to time constraints and a shorter time frame (weeks) to complete school |
well, no need to welcome me, ive been in higher education for several many years, and have definitely seen my share of material dropping/lecture compression.
Most professors ive seen have been able to properly handle the notorious ugly summer semester scheduling, without having much effect on the students. The professors dislike it just as much.
However, this one seems to have a bit of an issue. Perhaps its because this professor does a fantastic job of babbling about god knows what for extended periods of time.
If you need to have exam + lecture periods, perhaps you should reconsider your lecture approach and overall tactics. As much as I AND professors consider the summer scheduling retarded, its still sufficient to cover 90% of a courses syllabus. Which is probably why the scheduling hasnt changed, but it makes having a good professor that much more important.
