Today a coach at TCU(Texas Christian University) made contreversy cause he said his team was failing cause there aren't enough blacks on his team. He was stating that statistically blacks have better running speed and overall athletic performance.

Now I agree that what he said wasn't very appropriate, professional,or in check with television and media of 2005. But to get outraged and call him racist is just quite uncalled for. He's basically congragulating blacks on athletic performance. he even said that whites are capable as well.No hateful remarks no harm done.

Racist basically mean to have a strong negative belief about a race
because believe that your race is superior to any others or you think the are inferior.

The bottomline in my head is sowhat?

what the coach said wasn't racist whatsoever. AT ALL. NOT ONE DROP. M A Y B E a tiny bit stereotypical but not in anyway racist.

I wouldn't call that statement anything but unintelligible. "Blacks" in that context is too vague of a term to really draw any conclusion about what he's trying to say whatsoever.

I mean honestly: what precisely constitutes a "black?" Anyone?

I normally classify black people as having curly nose hairs.

Interesting, but unless we know what method of classification (if any) our dear coach here is using, it's impossible to evaluate any of his claims about these "blacks."
