Protein builds muscle. It's the same thing as when you eat a steak, but in concentrated form. You really have to calculate and manage your intakes because too much protein does have some nasty side effects, and alot of people who use protein supplements devellop problems. You're better off just watching what you eat and keeping a diet strong in protein from regular foods.

Muscle Milk is my fav but I also hear ppl like Pro-Peptide more because it has 3 different types of Protein.. where Muscle Milk has only the whey protein. |
Muscle Milk is shit...read your labels luv. You're putting in more saturated fat in your body than probably any food you eat.
Fat doesn't get turned into muscle.
When protein is digested, it is broken down until all that is left is an amino acid compound, and finally released through the walls of your small intestines to repair burned and broken muscle fibers (the result of weight training), which is what makes them grow.
Glutamine, which is another amino acid, is a supplement commonly used to assist in the process of protein synthesis. This is because hard trainers need more protein to rebuild their muscles (1.5-2g per lb of body weight), and glutamine helps assure the efficiency of that procedure.
