Best idea ever? probably.

I'm thinking of putting plastic garden edging where the lawn meets the street to stop worms from getting squished on the road when it rains

Fine i'll also build a series of "worm ramps" scattered throughout the lawn that the worms can crawl up onto in order to escape the rain

or you could just build a roof over your lawn


or even better yet just find all the wrosm and put them in your bath tub

Our compost bin is full of worms. It gives you a bit of a shock when you put a pile of old food into it only to find a couple of hundred worms in a big writhing pile on the top of it

Well... let me teach you something.

The reason why worms surface when it rains is because the earth becomes too wet, thus drowning little wormies. So they search for something that is less wet/deep in water, which is often the streets and the sidewalks.

So if you were to trap them on your lawn, instead of getting squished on the road etc. they would drown in your grass.
