Fans of MySpace and Facebook are divided by much more than which music they like, suggests a study.

A long-term research project has revealed a sharp division along class lines among the American teenagers flocking to the social network sites.

The research suggests those using Facebook come from wealthier homes and are more likely to attend college.

By contrast, MySpace users tend to get a job after finishing high school rather than continue their education.

The biggest problem with myspace is that no matter how normal you are, it always makes you look like a complete and utter tool. Facebook isn't so bad in this way.

The stupidest thing about any social networking site is that if I actually wanted to speak to the 200 or so people most people amass as "friends", I'd pick up the phone and call them, not leave them a stupid message on some lame web page that other people I neither know, like or care about are going to read. Imagine making a phone call with fifty other people listening in.

Myspace is more annoying. Facebook is becoming more annoying with the hundreds of retarded applications you can stick on. I get like 20 requests from people to put new applications on my Facebook every day or so. It's irritating as all hell. Jesus, if I want a fortune cookie, I'll order Chinese for lunch.
