advices , opinions welcome.....(law school related)
hey guys....
well i write you because im mixed up.My desire has always been to work in the future in the US.At least to have an experience.
Studying law in france i thought i could easily finish uni , become a lawyer in france and then do a LLM in the US and after the bar become a lawyer....
unfortunately after having read on forums that a foreign LLM student lacks of knowledge of the anglo saxon system the bar seems to be a dream.....
so i guess to do a LLM is not what will make me closer to my goals....
so im thinking lately about law schools in US .....3 years of school is a big investment.....but even before that i checked the LSAT and i was wondering if any of you trained, practiced for it already?
or how did u practice for the GMAT , SAT...well all the kind of exams u go through before uni
a lawyer at my work told me i should try....i think it's what im going to do but considering its pretty expensive , the registration for the LSAT exam for example since im outside the US is about $ 300 and then gotta get the books and all....
so if any of you tried to integrate a law school in US could you share your impression , your story about how u prepared yourself ...
considering most of the law students in france want to work in france....it's hard to take an another way and im pretty much alone to collect all the infos
so guys if u have tips or whatever about uni in US that would be appreciated!!!
thanx in advance
marie
