why would they ask for 800$ to REPAIR a CDJ when you can get a brand new MK3 (mine is MK2) for the same price? lewl?

i ended up getting a second hand MK3 for 600$ and i got my xone repaired with warranty. yippy

They're industry standard, so they can price what they want. Sad, really.

because the cost of opening the unit, finding the problem parts, installing, testing, exceeds the cost of paying a factory in malaysia to put together a new unit from scratch?

I have 3 wide format Epson printers, and when something goes wrong (like today!) the qualified fixing folks charge $100 just for the call out, and then $120 an hour while they attempt to make it work

Oh, and then there's the cost of the replacement parts.

u guys dont understand, thats exactly what they want u to do, discard old shit and buy new. fuckin corporate. the buttons on my MK'3 went bad i ordered them on ebay for $10 and replaced them myself.
