From wiki:

It sold an estimated 70,000 copies its first year. Composed of short stories narrated by the author, often focuses on the narrator's humorous excess. The stories normally deal with themes such as the author's views on women, drinking (often to excess), insulting people, and embarrassing sexual encounters. A sequel, titled 'Assholes Finish First', is set to be released by Simon and Schuster in 2010. |
Now, has anyone read the book? I haven't, although I hear the stories are entertaining. Anyway, I saw the movie yesterday. It sucked [although Jesse Bradford's character does have some funny lines in it].
But I come to find out this dude has a major cult following. Really? He is like the Dane Cook of the American Pie crowd or something. From watching some interviews with him, however, he seems like an incredible douche. Not because of what he does to girls or whatnot - like I give a fuck about that - but rather because he's 34 and still acts like the typical frat guy, insulting his fans on facebook because he has to perpetuate the asshole image he has built up and whatnot. Oh man, I have been waiting to use whatnot all day long.
But yeah, am I missing something here? Thoughts?
