never been a fan of halo, and this is the first one of the games I've purchased myself, but I'm having a lot of fun playing with friends.

Don't get me wrong, there's not a chance I'm getting rid of my PS3.

If you had played the other games, I'm sure you would be enjoying it a lot more. You should definitely go back and play the previous games at some point

Your Arena K/D is 0.92. Hardly "destroying it".
I don't have it myself, but I had a bit of a multi-player marathon at a friend's house on release day. They've done a good job on re-addressing the weapon balance and emphasising mid-range skilled combat over short-range spray-and-pray that blighted the previous iterations. Net code is massively improved too. However the spawn system is apocalyptically shitty and some of the map design is atrocious. For example, if your team wins the opening fight on Zealot you can simply go to the top floor and camp the architecture for a huge advantage. It's ridiculous that that kind of mistake can make it into the finished game.

My competitive kdr is 1.47, and Arena for me was a bit rough at the start.
There's a lot of map situations like that though that are awful. For eg: Sword Base on the 3rd level where the lift is is stupid.

I've been playing this with my friend a lot (gotta go back to his house soon, my Xbox is fucked up ), definitely a great game. I mean, it's not Halo 3 or even the original Halo, but considering how high an opinion I have of those games, this one being "not quite as good" still makes it an excellent game.

Might as well keep in the spirit of comic #1 and poke fun at Final Fantasy

haven't played it, but if it's anything near the sequels it's bound to be quite the generic boring fps
/v/ has thrown lots of hissfits about it being to short.
