I quit recently too. First week I just dramatically lowered the amount per day, actually some days I dodn't smoke at all, then I smoked 5 another day, then none again.. It was depending on how I feel and the weather(yeh, when it's hot & sunny I'm thirsty and shit, my wish to smoke is null).. then I just carried on for a couple of days without smoking at all, smoked one some day and since then - zero. It has been about two and a half weeks since my last smoke, and my wish to smoke is almost completely gone. I think the key is not paying much attention to it.
Small tip - exercise like a mad man, and be physically active during the day, more then you are now, preferably on the great outside, because of the clean air. This has helped me immensely to regain some health and rebuild mah lungs. Plus it pumps your motivation.
Cheers, and best of luck man
