I normally tip 20%. I feel bad for some of these waiters having to deal with shit people all day. Though your ass really does need to get a real job lol

And who would serve your food? Somebody has to do it. But 20% is too high. 15 I say.

20% is standard. 15% for bad service, 30% for exceptional service.

I used to work at the Universal Resort in Orlando. Europeans (specifically English) were notorious for being bad tippers. Is there a customary reason behind that?

I've had a ton of restaurants jobs, so I understand the frustration with not getting tipped if you do a good job. When I go out to eat, I'm super clean and courteous too. Just because I understand what it feels like to serve assholes.

EDIT: I usually do 20% or in the vicinity. I like having my totals equal an amount without change so it's easier to recollect your purchases on bank statements, etc.

Waiters/waitresses are paid much better there and thus depend less on tips. People just tip less (if at all) in general in most of Europe.

I always ask Carl Cox what he would tip and then I divide that by half

I usually tip around 20% even though I am totally against tipping. I would rather pay more for my meal at a restaurant that had a no tipping policy.

An obese person against tipping the people that serve him his food. Are you sure you're not American?

Makes sense. We always thought it had to do with something like that rather than them all having tight pockets; although, I think our receipts did have the tips calculated on them. One would think that would prompt someone to tip additionally.
