i don't think so...it'd be more public i would think. but then again, even if it were the last season, the re-runs would still be on the air for decades just like they are now.

I remember watching CNN about 2 months ago and they said Fox networks has extended the contract of the Simpsons. For how many years I don't know... but I think it's one or three. Something like that. Either way IMO if Fox doesn't resign... I think other networks will sign on.

If they keep winning some American award (emmi, grammy, whatever the win each year?), they will continue to make; when they dont, they will seriously look at finishing it up.

I sure as hell hope it wont end any time soon. That show is the best. Been around sence the 80's. My got were the episodes lame back then.

i think i read something about how FOX only has a contract for 2 or 3 more years, but itll continue on longer. as long as there is interesting/stupid/rediculous stuff to discuss/make fun of, the Simpsons should hang around. too bad The Family Guy got cancelled tho! heh|

i read something that the writers said they want to end it because it isn't living up to it's past reputation and i agree. although they didn't say when they would stop making new episodes. i read this in the article about futurama getting canceled.

The Simpsons is the greatest comedy show ever made... pure genius...
