I don't think any of my fears are irrational ones. I used to have somewhat of a phobia about ants, but since most of the ants around here bite like fuck, I consider that to be a fairly reasonable one. I seem to have gotten over it as I've become older, but have since replaced it with a fear of heights that I never used to have. Though a fear of heights is still pretty reasonable, really.

Other than that, it's just the usual shit like snakes and spiders. Because, you know, Australia :/

i dont think its irrational but i have a fear of snakes... my friend keeps sending me pics of snakes outside his house, ill be staying there in 2.5 weeks when i go to AU. I already know im going to have a minor panic moment everytime i go outside.

I'm okay with snakes. I've got no problem holding one as long as I've been assured it's not venomous or likely to bite me. Spiders, though, terrify me far more than they should, given British spiders are utterly pathetic compared to what Stu probably has to deal with every time he steps foot in the garden shed.

I've no problem with spiders, though I might have a mild jump-scare if I see a big one all of a sudden, just hanging out in a sink or bathtub. That's when you unleash the torrents of water, flushing it down the drain as they clutch in their legs in some futile bid to save themselves. No, you blasted two-inch wide spider, you had the gall to appear out in the open. Stay away in the corners and kill beetles for me.


I used to fear quicksand quite a bit. Like, super freaked me out as a kid. Anytime there was a show or even cartoon where quicksand was involved, I'd make my excuses and leave the room until the scene was over. Doesn't bother me now anymore.

Instead, I'm afraid of being trapped in the vacuum of space without a spacesuit. It's ridiculous because the likelihood of me being in space is a zillion to one.

Spiders just move so quickly and randomly. And the legs! Fucking awful.

When you're falling from a great height, there's nothing you can do to avert your fate. It's the epitome of powerlessness, and it lasts until you fucking die, which also sucks.

Ever since laptops started coming with inbuilt webcams, I get scared I'll accidentally have Skype open and someone will catch me having a romantic moment with myself.

I'm also scared of spiders. I have no problem killing them, but I'll feel like I have spiders all over me for the next hour.
