Hey, I might not be on here for a few weeks because I messed my computer up again. I downloaded a program and the next day I went to turn my computer on and it said that the opperating system wasn't found
Three weeks! Just re-install Windows yourself in 30 minutes or less if it's that bad! What software was it? So that we can all be warned about it

I put in my windows disk to reinstall in and it said that my hard drive could not be detected. The program was that Clone-CD thing w/ a crack...

Clone CD Huh? Have you played with Bios settings? Does it detect a HD there? It should, then just use a Win 98 boot disk or whatever version you use, then try running setup over the top once it's picked up your HD. Everything should still be there. I doubt it would have erased the HD.

Yeah it said something about the BIOS settings but I don't know much about them. I went in and looked around but I wasn't messin w/ anything just yet. I'm gonna call tech support when I go home today (I'm in skool right now).

Yeah I hope I didn't lose everything on my HD....damn that would be about 400 MP3s.

my guess is that everything is still on your HD, no doubt. but the connection between the HD and your the software aspect of it isn't working due to whatever reason. so yeah. no worries.

I have a similar problem. My primary harddisk with all that boot shit has gone mental, and i have no fucking clue on how to make my other harddisk the new primary, as it is a slave now. Anyone who knows?? Help would be appreciated
you must have it plugged into the slave port. @ the back of the HD is a switch that you can move around with like a pen or something. you can tell it to be slave or primary and shit. just make sure you don't have 2 conflicting primaries or slaves.
