I'd say work until february. As long as delaying your schooling will not have any other downsides. Then you have cash, and you might be able to work part time with whoever you will work for, as they might be more lenient once you've spent some time with them. If you had more time to decide, I would have told you to go job searching first, and then if you found one work, but I guess its too late for that.

Work is always an option if you have no money... Of course if you work to "save"...4 months will probably not get you 10K....I mean really, if you make 10K (after tax) in 4 months...you are looking at a 40-50K Job per year...so why even go to school...LOL...and if this is really technical, where you get 10K of savings in 4 months, and still expend cost of living + board + entertainment (ie. still having a life) assume you can save even 50% what you make...good luck...do some math...clickety clickety....add the taxes you paid out...clickety clickety. You are then making 70-80K a year and I want your job.

I probably don't know all the facts, but if my choices were school or a high paying job right away (which I don't think is the case)...you know what I would choose then.

Course I don't live at home...and get fed anymore...so my numbers may be different, but you'll have to realize what you will actually save in 4 months of full time work.
