considering it's fifty lightyears away, it doesn't really matter. Even at a 10th of the speed of light (which is unlikely that we will ever attain such rates of travel ~19,000 miles per second or 68.5 million miles per hour .. har har) it would take 500 years to get there. Far beyond the average human life span. Our only hopes to make it beyond our own solar system within reasonable time frames lie in wormhole travel.

Wellt hink of it as this.. where it comes from its very very cheap or free if you find it (Finders keepers).. if you goto africa and get diamonds its free lol and just import it here and gain more :P.

All the money in the world could not get a single human being to that planet alive. Much less before the end of our civilization, with current technology (and any forseeable technology at the moment). Therefore it's basically worthless as the cost of operation to mine the gem approaches or rather, is "not applicable" as in, unpossible.
