i was wondering.
I have seen these around mostly in Jap films and what not, and well, i want one obviously, but are they only for girls. i searched online and the only thing i get is these bubbly looking clear umbrellas that are definately only for chicks. what i want is a regular looking umbrella for one, not to big but that it is see through. Look at the film Lost in Transalation to see what i am talking about. it comes on other films as well but that is most recent.

anyone aquainted enough with the culture or know where to get them other than making the trip to Japan. don't have enough money ATM for a trip although i don't plan on going in the near future.

there are no oriental shops around there? We have a place called 99 Ranch which is just filled with so many asian products. Technicolor platforms, clear umbrellas, VERY beautiful fans (omg, they are to die for). btw, japan culture is to die for.
