Directors...

Hi guys... im wondering for advice and divine inspiration...

Im looking into amateur photography, mostly into digital DV small film making, but i want to create a scene of inside the car, both from outside and inside the car. Im sure you have seen it done in the movies a thousand billion times, here's the catch, i need to be able to do it by myself, as $$$ is indeed a concerning factor.

Something like this perhaps...
Link 1

The stress is not the actual rods and all, but how do i buy the suction cups, and then hold them onto the rods, as if u rip the rubber on the cups you can damage them and loose its ability to hold onto the glass/side/bonnet of the car.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Or anyone else has any clever ideas.

Putting it on the dashboard is not an option because that causes vibrations... while mounting it on the glass will give you less vibrations... or so ive heard.

So yes, any input or ideas to help me out would be appreciated... thanks...

I was also thinking of getting one of those mobile phone/PDA holder with suction cups but they don't look like they can hold it, so who knows....

(M)

Suction cups should not be considered at this stage...

I know they have these camera stands that you can stick on the front hood but they need near industrial suctions cups of sizes like 6 inches. Way too pricey ..... Now trying to build one may be an option but that's a bit risque!

Best solution would be to make a stand that hangs on the window that is really regular.... you can have it actually hanging or you can use something similar to a C Clamp

Check this here

You may be able to go with the Bogen 3287 ( Bogen is a common brand )

You could also consider a tripod on the passengers side ... or fixing a plate to the drivers side with an isreali mount

Officialy you would use this as a door mount : http://www.jbkcinequipt.com/doorm1.jpg
If you take some metal tubing you could be able to make something yourself ...

Here is also something you could try and build around of http://www.danscomp.com/products/BIKEACCS/899905.jpg
