College Question

I have a question concerning college. If I was rejected from the engineering program of a certain school, can i reapply to liberal arts and sciences?

i don't see why not. you might wanna ask the school though...don't wanna take a chance. you could always go into the arts and sciences and then try to transfer later into the engineer school..

Usually you can apply to different schools. They are completely separate and have different rankings. However, different schools may be different.

I suppose it does depend on the school(college). But I know of many people where i'm going that couldn't get into their department of their choosing so they entered as a different major, took their core classes which are pretty much the same no matter what major and then transfered into the department of their choice.

agree .. it's always better to change your major than transferring credits to your major ... that's why they invented the major "general studies" .. it's not only for people who are undecided on their major, but also considered a pitstop for those who find the difficult climb to their major..

i know a lot of pre-med kids that made the pitstop to "general studies" before entering their field.
