final fantasy 7

so my friend was cleaning out his attic and found his old playstation, i was like "dude you have a playstation?!" so he was like "yeah you can have it" didn't have any games though. so i went to eb games and bought a used copy of final fantasy 7, becuase that was one of the reasons I had originally bought my playstation way back in the day. i had always wished i hadn't sold all my games and everything. so i started playing ff7 again, and wow, even as dated as the graphics are, the gameplay is still top notch. when you realize the game was made in what, 1998 i think, it really was ahead of its time when it came out. i think every final fantasy game that came out on the playstation really pushed the limits of the system, however out of the 3, i would say FF7 and FF9 were my favourites, however, I did enjoy FF8 too. anyone else feel nostalgic sometimes :-D

Final Fantasy 7 is the best game I've ever played! The gameplay, the music, the characters.... everything's so great in that game. Even play it sometimes now too and I always enjoy it a lot.

I still have my PS and all my old games - in fact, it's sitting about 12 inches from me right now, just a few A/V cables plugged in, and she'd be set to go. I played through FFVII again just a few months ago - and you're right - the game is still just as excellent as it used to be. The experience was better the first time - but it always is; seeing Aeris get ganked, getting your first gold Chocobo, realising just how easy Sephiroth's last form is, etc...the last time I played it though, I didn't go through it on my PS, I used...

http://www.epsxe.com/download.php

it's an emulator that doesn't play ROMs, so I couldn't find exactly how it could ever be illegal. I suppose if you somehow managed to burn a copy of an original PS disc, you could get in trouble, buuut....it relies on the original disc to be put into your computer to play - then it just uses your compy as a Playstation, easy as that.

The music of that game was what made a lot of the scenes so memorable. Going back and listening to tracks definitely evokes good memories...

If it's played on a Casio keyboard, does it count as EDM?

Awesome game. Although I always thought it was made 96 time?

Imo that is still the best game in the FF series. Loved 8 but I always thought 9 was a bit poor.

And I could just never get into 10 when I played it

Yah, I had just about every RPG for playstation.

Breath of Fire III & IV
Suikoden
Xenogears
Wild Arms I & II
Thousand Arms
Star Ocean
Final Fantasy Chronicles/Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy Tactics (Not really an RPG, didn't care for it much)
and a bunch more I can't remember.

I also wasted many hours of my life playing Gran Turismo 1 & 2

I had a really really old playstation, I had to turn it upside down to keep it from overheating. I still have my old ass controller that came with it, and I found my old memory cards. Ahh memories.

I think I may have to finish off FF7 later actually, started it again a few months back, got to the crater put the save point down and went back up to fuck around some more and unlock everything and then never went back to it LOL

Think I may have to go back and finish Sephiroth off later

FF7 doesn't even begin to compare to FF3 (US).
