Seasonal Affective Disorder. It means the lack of sunlight during the "shorter" winter months (and often a lack of Vitamin D in the diet) leads to a type of depression.
it's often treated with a light box, whixh produces the same spectrum of light as the sun, or counseling.

We still haven't had the first frost. It's been steadily 50 around here, with a few nicer days htis past week in the upper 60s, low 70s. Slowly turning to winter, as usual. What's the climate like in japan?

so wait... u just get depressed during summer @ night? shit doesnt make sense to me. go to bed early and start ur day early.
it really sounds like a bs desiese. |
You get depressed during winter because your skin receives less sunlight, or at least that's the theory. Your body produces nominal amounts of Vitamin D from sunlight, so thats also been postulated as the cause of SAD.
I wouldn't say it's BS, but it is a good reason to call in sick to work

I usually get winter sickness by late febuary/early march. Last year I did light therapy and it worked wonders.
