the way spanish sounds has a lot to do with the country of origin of the speaker and the accent of this country.

ie. i equate the dominican accent in spanish somewhat to what the northamerican accent in english is. it's like the non-accent.

then, the castillian accent (which is actually the proper spanish one) is like the british accent.

then you have the people with a very noticeable accent that you dunno where it came from, like australians, jamaicans and pikies () in english, and argentinians, cubans and mexicans in spanish.

in the end, it all depends i guess. but for instance, i knew a spanish chick that could drive me nuts just talkin' over the phone. never got to hit that
