the way spanish sounds has a lot to do with the country of origin of the speaker and the accent of this country.
ie. i equate the dominican accent in spanish somewhat to what the northamerican accent in english is. it's like the non-accent.
then, the castillian accent (which is actually the proper spanish one) is like the british accent.
then you have the people with a very noticeable accent that you dunno where it came from, like australians, jamaicans and pikies ( ) in english, and argentinians, cubans and mexicans in spanish.
in the end, it all depends i guess. but for instance, i knew a spanish chick that could drive me nuts just talkin' over the phone. never got to hit that
