Question What do you think about this open-source software "store"?

http://freesoftwarecdr.com/ - This MAY be the best alterative to DL'ing Linux and xBSD as well as other open-source software over a slow connection. They have EXCELLENT prices (Linux and xBSD starts at $5 USD) and they can ship out your order on the same day if you order before 16:00 US Eastern Time (20:00 UTC/GMT). I like to know what you TAs think about it. Remember: You're getting the SAME thing as if you downloaded it from www.linuxiso.com so, it's only good for slow-speed connections. This is how I might get my Linux distribution since I'm on an analogue modem <56K connection. So, the question is: Would you prefer buying a full package or the CD from here? It's your choice...

Buy the 5$ version.

You don't need a nice box and a nice manual, you can get the manual here: Mandrake: http://www.mandrakelinux.com/en/fdoc.php3

Red Hat: http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/

btw. you can download them and back them up if something goes wrong and you can't connect to the internet.

Thanks! You're a big help! I'm getting Linux Mandrake 8.2 so, I'll just get those manuals. Then again, it wouldn't hurt to have RH too! Thanks again!
