Love Poundin' Sensation going out with trance...

question fellow TAs:

I assume you all love trance to death, or else you wouldn't be here...but wut i wonder is, how many of you feel that you're current/potential significant other has to love trance like you do? reason I bring this up is I feel extremely lucky that my current girlfriend is pretty much as obsessed with trance as I am...we go clubbing together, download music together, and listen to it together all the time. wut i wonder is, wut if she totally was a candypop/top 40 kind of person? i wouldn't be able to share this part of my life with her and she'd never understand why i get goosebumps after hearing tiesto, or get all giddy when i come home w/ a armful of new records....any thoughts?

wish my girl was. i took her to cream and she hated it, althiough she never said. she aksed to come along and eventualyl persuaded me. she ignore me when i talk about it and wont listen to my mixes, remixes seriously. i cant change her though, it wouldnt be right. the only time i cna get her interested in tracn ethough is by making her jealous i.e. (true example) i was talking to this lass at gk and we must of been talking about ferry corsten for an hour in the middle of the arena.. etc) then she gets pissed and does some research into who ferry corsten is. lol quite funny actually! but i love her, with or without trance

Once, I've been interested on a girl that was a top-10 addict (she owned a Backstreet Boy fan club!). Though she was extremely gorgeous, I just couldn't go any further. Either she was listening to some pop crap or she was proving to have nothing between her ears
Then, a bit later, I dated this girl that didn't like trance either. However, she was a lovely person, very smart (and cute) indeed (No Backstreet Boys though - only R.E.M. and other rock bands). So, I found out that music is not an issue - it's all about the person.
If (s)he likes trance, good - you've got one more thing to share. Otherwise, you've got lots of other things to share as well, right?

PS: Cute thought, eh?

the sad part is that the first part of that sentence is usually the cause of the second part...

Other way round I feel.

But still, look at it from her point of view. We may go around asking why people can't see the beauty in trance music, but at the same time our girlfriends may be going round thinking "why can't he see the beauty in Nick Carters voice? Or the sincere hard-core-ishness of AJ from 5ive?"

It's all relative, and certainly nothing to throw away a relationship over. Trance (or actually progressive for me) time is between 10pm and 6am. So long as she can live with that, she's okay by me.
