Are these too underground?

I showed these to a neigbor who is a musician and he says they are too dark , take a listen and tell me if any one feels the same way.

he says i should make more mainstream uplifting stuff? thats not my thing though

it really isn't much and is not complete but at least you can get an idea of the genre im dwelling in.
thanks

well.........besides this being in the wrong forum i will say this, the melody is incredibly annoying and is messy, very, very messy. it's got no structure and goes nowhere really, 2nd song is much of the same but jus a bit more structured, still it seems to go nowhere, the melodies are all offtone and don't compliment each other, and that crash hihats is way to load, maybe the wrong type. N e ways keep at it, stay to your dark side as it's different, jus work on a few things and it may come together
