Whats up all, this is my first thread nothing useful really, just unleashing some anger
Hernan Cattaneo, the top prog. DJ imo is playing in Edmonton on Sept. 3rd, Vancouver on the 4th, and yes, Toronto @ the GUV on the 17th with Paul Oakenfold (who needs to retire btw) as the headliner. Where the f**k is MTL??? Is it just me, or is MTL falling in the world of EDM?? ARIA needs to do something about this! PLEASE
I saw Hernan in Dubai recently, one of the best sets by a DJ i've ever experienced. Crowd was going nuts!
If not, road trip 2 T.O for me.

Montreal definitely needs Hernan, it would be cool if he can play here in september too

It's not so much MTL as a whole.. it's mainly Aria that's slacking for bookings.
I know the critics will come back to say that there are plenty of headliners passing through.. but at the end of the day.. still pales in comparison to what was being booked in 2002/2003, as an example.
I'm not even talking about techno either.
I still find it kinda funny that Beach Club seems to have the best bookings this month here
I wish Circus would either go under or book headliners though.

meh.. take out diggers & danny who weren't originally slated la cream.. Carl on a frickin wednesday which is kinda lame (I'll see him whenever but it's still not the same!) and the rest isn't uber impressive by montreal afterhours standards over a few months.
the reference I was making to 2002/2003 was a time when you would have headliners practically every friday AND saturday.. and double bills were rather common too.
Anyway.. all this to say, i'm not ungrateful, at least they do still book names.. but it has gone downhill sadly

If Montreal needs Hernan we really need Nick Warren also in this city!

seriously
we need hernan in montreal peopleeeeeeeeee
I might be wrong, but I think that lots or ppl in MTL just aren't into EDM as much as they used to be (all i hear is hop hop EVERYWHERE). And most fans like Trance. Nothing wrong with that, i love it trance and all, but i need my prog house and techno! We need a pure dance radio station But honestly, i won't complain. Aria always hooks it up. The line up for the fall is pretty intense. Circus with headliners would be key
