Ilya Malyuev
Ilya Malyuev is a Russian electronic music composer, producer, and DJ. Since he was 4 years old, Ilya has been carried away by music: he learned classical music and composition from famous musicians, and since 2001 started working on electronic music.
He produced the monster hit Baltic Sound - Glimmer, and he has remixed for other notable producers, such as Hawk.
Influenced by the great music of Robert Miles, Mike Oldfield, Paul Van Dyk, Planet Funk, Luke Chable, Ilya started searching for own style in very different genres of electronic music and found himself on progressive, trance, downtempo and ambent genres. In 2005 Ilya opened a new alias "Baltic Sound" and presently it became not only a different alias, but also a different style of sound. The debut release of Baltic Sound is Glimmer, released on Ruhn Song recordings, and supported by Nick Warren, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Desyn Masielo, Micah, Jonathan Lisle, Chris Lake, Markus Schulz, Armin Van Buuren, Shawn Mitiska, & many more. Today Glimmer is temporarily put away from stores, but it's going to be re-released with new versions.
In the beginning of 2008, Ilya released his first chillout EP called "Kiviniemi," which became well-supported by many DJ's and listeners; the EP showcased Ilya's ability to produce a more acoustic sound.

Since 2007, Ilya and Ormatie have hosted the "Comfortable Underground" radio show, where they present their musical tastes and many exclusive tracks from fellow Russian artists, as well as from artists all around the world. The two-hour show includes a few different parts and special rubrics:
- 30 minutes of Baltic: a soft and smooth thirty-minute journey through deep and atmospheric sound.
- Each show will include 30-minute guest mix of the most interesting progressive producers in modern electronic music scene.
Although "Comfortable Underground" is only a year old, the show has already featured guest mixes from artists like Andrew Kelly, Roland Klinkenberg, Jaytech, Spiritchaser and many more. For more information: http://myspace.com/cushow
