had an ok time tonight... i was really tired so i think that affected how i could get into it... jan johnston was a very good live PA, altho it seemed a bit short.
i was really into the first hour of marco v's set then it went downhill for me, cuz i was feeling really really exhausted. i still closed it out. snuck into the avalon booth with mike, got pictures taken with marco before he left. i guess that made up for an otherwise subpar night for me.
avalon's crowd/vibe is the WORST out of the venues in nyc. spending more than half the time pushing old old asian men (i hope i don't grow up to be like them...) away from your female friends is not my idea of a great time. especially if they don't get the hint the first, second, third, etc etc time. i dunno, the crowd just seemed totally clueless... first sign was all those people dancing on the stage, where jan johnston was to perform... i also think only a small handful of people actually knew who jan johnston was. also, if jan didn't stay around and went to crobar after her performance at avalon, it says a LOT about the club....
tonight made me appreciate arc sooo much more.

Yup, she always performs that in her sets, along with Flesh.
If I correctly heard what she said in introducing it, the new track at the end was something that Serge Devant (the opening + closing DJ) produced (or worked on), and is on Armin's label.
