well... i want to at least. anybody know some cheap but not completely ghetto neighborhoods i should check out? considering i'll pretty much be relying on waiting on tables as a source of income. its all so freaking overwhelming lol... anyone think they'll need a roomate within a year or so?? haha

my reasoning behind this is because im thinking about checking out either scratch dj academy or sae institute for electronic music producing.... you know those schools you see the ads for in like urb, bpm or remix magazine or something... anyone know anybody who did something like that? just trying to get an idea if i would be wasting time/money, but i gotta say i am enjoying the idea at the moment

waste of money.... Hook up with some people that do it and all is good from there...

Look in Jersey City and Brooklyn and Queens if your looking to move closer. Then meet up with people who have tables already and learn from them.

yea the dj one might be a little silly, but i was thinking more so of the one for producing

You can do the same with that. Just hook up with people who produce. You can always hook up with some people here by going to the productions forum. There is alot of good info there to use. Or you can always just start and experiment on your own. You can learn alot that way.

Umm did you read the whole post. He is looking for CHEAPER places to live in NY. Alot of the places you listed mostly have bussiness not residential.

lol i work at t.g.i. friday's and go to community college... the only way i would be able to live in tribecca is if someone rented me a dumpster to reside
