Just the description I was looking for. I did read the piece in TimeOut but didn't really get any wiser. And of course I could have downloaded something, except that I don't really know where.

btw, what's wrong? i hope you feel better |
My parents, my sister, and her boyfriend were all here last week, and I was on a roadtrip with my parents the week prior to that. Spending so much time with these adventure-craving people, in and out of air conditioned buildings and hot subway stations, have made my nose run and my head hurt.

that's cool, how long were they here for? no wonder why you've been MIA lately where did you guys go? i had a bad sinus cold 2 weeks ago, as well as a few of my friends.. its weird to be sick in the dead middle of the summer! my personal trick is taking 2 aleve cold & sinus pills + 1 advil + 1 cup of strong black tea. (preferable earl grey and sometimes a hot shower. that works 50% of the time. my sinus headaches usually last at least 2-3 days at a time, nonstop. i liken the incline/decline progression of the pain to a slug crawling up and down a mountain.. no meds doctors ever gave me helped me so i decided to start medicating myself up to whatever degree helps me.

I've heard a lot of good about that. Unfortunately, I don't use Windows, and the Linux versions of the software suck. Guess that's the price of disliking Micro$oft and their products.

My parents were here for two weeks, my sister and her boyfriend for one week, having spent two weeks in California and Nevada just before. They were all very impressed with your beautiful country, and the sweet manner in which most of you behave. So that's another four Europeans with a more balanced view of the US and Americans.
You can see some pics from the trip in this thread:

Yes, I read briefly about your woes in one of the other threads. Glad to hear that things are better now.
I usually turn all my heating to the max and stay in bed for about a day, drinking as much tea and water as I can, and then get well. In this weather I simply cannot do that.
As to the medication solution: I practically never take drugs to combat infections. I have this suspicion that it will render my imunesystem weaker in the long run if I do - and I kind of like the idea of my body helping itself out.
