How do you rip your pipe/chillum/bubbler? I thought the answer was obvious but having talked to several friends about it I've been repeatedly surprised. So whats up?




Bong wasn't included because I think everyone rips them universally like choice B. Joints and Blunts weren't included because I think they're universally smoked like choice A.

Personally I suck the smoke into my mouth before inhaling with all smoking apparatuses. I feel it lets the smoke cool a bit, saving my throat from death. I also think you can take bigger rips this way, very much for that reason. I also habitually 'bellow' the smoke out. It allows one to see how large of a rip you're taking, if the taste, heat and feeling in your mouth isn't enough.

I inhale into mouth, exhale just a little bit so a little smoke bubble comes out my mouth, then suck it back in. Hold 4 seconds, exhale.

Voted choice B, but it all comes down to what pipe I'm using. I guess that the smaller the pipe, the closer I am to option A. But with a chillum I pretty much let it go straight down.

Choice 'A', but only out of habit, really. If you don't have a proper ash-catcher and you're hitting straight to your lungs, you're going to learn a hard lesson... or not be bothered at all.

But yeah ^ it is somewhat dependent on the instrument you are using.

Sorry man but I gotta disagree here. No way you can fill your mouth with as much smoke as you can fill your lungs with. Don't fuck around, just ripp em hard and hold it in as long as you can.
