world series of poker

so who here has watched the wsop this year?

in my opinion raymer just got lucky, but anyone who wins has to.

my favorite player has got to be action dan. the guy is such a solid player, and the bluff he did with a 6 2 off was amazing. To push 1.2 million in with that hand was so crazy.

Raymer definitely enjoyed some luck at the final table, but he had to know what he was doing to get that far in a field of 2500.

I couldn't believe Dan pulled off that bluff. You could see it in his eyes that he was worried it wasn't going to happen there for a few seconds. I'm a fan of anyone who is on the opposite side of Arieh, that guy is such an ass.

Really looking forward to the Tournament of Champions. Tired of seeing young kids with their big mouths (Except for Williams, he's straight class).

Totally agree here. As the announcers said, Arieh acted like a cock the entire tourney. I felt bad for him at first, because of the situation with his wife, but seeing how he acted made me hope against him. Indeed for Harrington too. Dan Harrington is surely one of my favorite players in the WSOP, as well as Marcel Luske. I also like the other young guy, John Murphy (I think), who led for several days in the chip count. He talked some shit, but it was all just poker table bullshit, and he was humble in defeat. I thought the day he showed up late was hilarious...I wonder if he did that on pupose to kinds psyche out the opther players, or if he just got wasted and passed out.

Raymer definitely has got skill, the glasses helped, but you cant win the WSOP without cards, and it seemed like he was always getting good ones...

alot is luck but playing and reading people comes in play.

little things if someone just looked at there cards for the first time and right away glanses over at his chips then u know he isnt bluffing he most likely has a good hand....these are little things that the people who are pros at poker can see and take it to there advantage then someone who is a amatuer

But if you know what a pro is looking for, you can use these things to your advantage. A friend of mine noted that poker players make al iving how people who claimed to be psychics did. They watch body language.

Isn't this supposed to be about sports? When did poker become a sport? I get lost sometimes.

Definitely my favorite player too. Very intimidating.

I still can't believe David Williams called that final hand.
