I'm new to the trance scene, but I love it so far!

I live in Gainesville, Florida. It is about an hour and a half (my driving ) of Orlando. I'm looking for any clubs in North Central Florida that have good trance DJ's and parties. I'm talking between Orlando and Jacksonville. I can drive farther if it's a really good event, but I like saving gas, it's too damn expensive in FL! lol.

ALSO! I am going to be in Orlando this Saturday night (04/13)...are there any parties down there that night? if so, I'M THERE!

gainesville has simons....you might want to check that out, they get big names quite frequently

orlando, really i have no idea, but they do have a kickass dance radio station! forgot the freq though, 95.3 maybe? maybe if you listen to the station it'll tell you about upcoming events

How old are you. Alot of places are 21+. And if you are REALLY new to trance, my i be the first to enlighten you to a few DJ's you need to check out: Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Johan Gielen, Talla 2XLC, and Armin Van Buuren. That should get you up and running. Get their live stuff! It's hard to tell if you like a DJ based on CD compilations or singles. I have a good friend that spins in Jacksonville (DJ SK). He spins good trance, do look out for him as well.

PaT: yeah, I know Simon's. I'm hesitant to go there, lol. I have a psychotic 47 year old Gay uncle (I shit you not) that loves to go to Simon's lol. But if there is a good enough show there, I love the place.
And I'll check out that radio station while I'm down there, thanks.

Red Velvet is in Orlando it used to be Icon its 18+...Roxy is another club in Otown and they had this thing for a while called "Ibiza Thurs" Sandra Collins, Max Graham spun as far as other clbs Simons is ok but they dont have air conditioning and it gets mad hot

^^^Yeah, Simon's isn't all it's made out to be, in my opinion.

OK, I've heard of Icon. Didn't know they changed names

Ever heard of Cyberzone? It's just outside of Orlando. They opened outside the city limits so that they didn't have to abide by the city's "anti-rave" policy, which makes clubs close at 3AM. Cyberzone closes at 7AM. I figure any club that is open for the sole reason of going against the authorities is a damn good club, lol. Sorry, I don't like cops, lol.
