Yeah, Mercury is still open, and Garfield is still the resident dj there, but I don't know how that place will survive much longer. His music has pretty much gone down the tubes, and the place is less than half full on a Saturday night, but we keep going just because we've gotten so lazy when it comes to going out. We live right around the corner from the club, so it's like a 5 minute drive there, you park right in front, and walk in for free... no hastles. And we're friends with Garfield so we go pretty much just to hang out. But that place has to be losing their ass. Almost everyone gets in free, and for obvious reasons, they don't sell much liquor - just water, so I can't see how they're making a dime. And Garfield isn't even close to the dj he was a year ago. But anyway, I don't mean to bash the place, I guess it's ok if you live in Fort Lauderdale and just want to get out for a few hours, hastle free.
