Creating House Music / Basslines
Hey guys,
I was wondering if any of you out there are able to explain to me how to create basslines similar to most good house songs. It sounds to me like they are using a bass guitar, so I ask, which instruments do they use? And where do the notes go in relationship to the kick drums etc. I use cubase SX.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

unsurprisingly, they use a bass guitar
Its sampled a lot of the time, either from source material or from playing while in the studio.

yes, most of time, it's sampled bass from old funky or jazzy track, but when it's a creation : real bass guitar...
But you can create a synth similar to the guitar with a synth, with sine wave and a bit of scream in Reason...
