Question How do you use "pattern-based" softsynths (like ReBirth!) in a sequencer?!

Hi,

I love pattern-based synths like ReBirth, which allow you to easily create rhythm patterns with there interface. However, I was wondering how you use ReBirth (or any other pattern-based softsynth) in Cubase SX?! I know you have to use Rewire or something in case of ReBirth, but I want to know, how do you trigger those patterns in ReBirth from a midi track in Cubase as it's not the same as sequencing regular notes ofcourse?! How do you switch between those ReBirth patterns controlling it from within Cubase and making it all sync with the rest of your composition in Cubase?! Anybody could please explain this cause I don't understand how this works?!

Apart from ReBirth, are there any pattern-based drum VSTi's out there similar to the drum sections in ReBirth. Same as above, how do you sequence those patterns in Cubase?!

there is the microtonic (drum machine) and audiorealism bassline (303 cline) which use patterns. when you write a pattern, you trigger it with a note drawn in cubase's part editor (for example, pattern 0 is played by c-2 note). simple as that.
anyway, that is how i use audiorealism bassline.

why not use note-mode with audiorealism bassline? that's what I do.
