what effect is it called when a melody is chopped up into 16th notes? it like, segments the sound so instead of say, a solid 4 bar whole note, it is chopped into 16ths, or 8ths, or whatever. ummm... an example would be the first track of Ian Brown – Fear (UNKLE Mix).
