Cubase/Nuendo can be rather nice. Like protools it can do great Audio Editing, along with tempo. Tap your tempo of your track, and audio edits will be a lot nicer, and so will your fades etc.
ProTools is really nice, thanks to features like Beatdetective and a nice grid editing features, BUT. You have to have a chunk of hardware in order to use their software.
I have an MBox 1.0 I'm going to sell as soon as I buy my 192HD. But at the moment, until I get the dough I'm stuck with the Mbox.
I prefer NUENDO though. Which is 3grand, but you can use it with ANY hardware audio interface. Stienberg doesn't fuck you in that way like DigiDUHsign does.
