I want to run all my drum parts through a single compression to give them all that sort of integrity and punch. How do I go about doing that?

if you're running Ableton 7 then you can make all your drums inside the drum rack and compress the whole rack at once.

If you create an audio track and then send the audio from the drum channels into it, that'll create a sub mix effectively.

Just change the outputs on the drum tracks to point at the input of the sub mix track, then change the monitoring mode on the sub mix to "in".
