There is no 'undo' for channel strip settings, including inserts. Is this a common thing? Cause it's stupid. Let's say you're viewing the track automation and you accidentally punch in a volume change on a different track. You can undo the the actual event but the level of the track stays the same. Also there is no undo for any of the effects, which is an awful experience if you spend hours tweaking the EQ to get it perfect, and accidentally change something you're not supposed to. Bah.

Your primary focus should be making good music. That's all. No one gives a shit how you do it. And the people that do are fags.

The compare button takes the effect back to the setting you had last saved with, so as long as you save, you can tweak to your hearts content and flick between the two.
And, no there is no undo for channel strip settings including inserts, but frankly when I'm changing something that important, I'll save at that point before I make the change.
