As Calvin mentioned, Mikro is definitely better for travel or a more compact setup. I haven't read the details of Mikro, but seeing as how both versions work with the same software, I would guess that Mikro can do everything that Maschine can, but with less hands-on access and more menu-diving? |
Seems about right. Ever since Maschine was first released, I always seemed skeptical and labelled it as "junk". I was able to get my hands on a display Maschine at my local Guitar Center. Everything was confusing at first, but I soon realized that it would be absolutely essential in my setup. I believe, as long as I have the 4 x 4 button pad and a screen, I'll be golden; therefore, I'm leaning towards the Mikro.
