I have a problem: I can't make music that isn't stupid happy.

I don't know what is wrong with me..but all my music i create ends up in some EXTREMELY STUPID HAPPY sate of madness.

I usually start with drums, then bass..then eventually I decide (always)to go with a nice uplifting bass line...and by the end i've created some kind of monstrosity that questions my sexuality.

I duno what to do..here are two examples of my 'work'

They don't sound that "happy". What scale are you composing in? Use the minor scale for a darker sound.

So, you dont know what scale eh, that should be red flag number one.
Trying to compose "music" that you have no clue in creating is like trying to drive a ferrari. Not anyone can just get in and "drive" it.
If you dont know the basics or have a gift or talent for what your doing then maybe you should go train yourself to do so.
Seems to me that you want instant success for something you truly dont know how to do.
Slow down and learn the basics. I fully suggest theory. If you dont have the patience to develop your craft then you should just plain give up.

They don't sound happy to me, either. I just cut myself while listening to them.

i don't get you guys who say it doesn't sound happy. it sounds like unicorn barf in my opinion. Maybe you guys aren't listening to the main parts. The first song is 7 minutes, and starts off pretty 'normal' You gota skip till the 4 minute mark or so before it really gays up.

the 2nd song only ends happy, the first 2 mins or so are 'darkish'..but i eventually ruin it by gaying it up justin beiber style.

and the third song...there's nothing but aids in that song.

lol suck my dick you smug little asshole.

some people make music out of being bored, and i've been bored for a long time (10+ years).

Not everybody is trying to make it in the music world (as you can see by my music).

but yes, you sir can suck my dick (just want to reiterate that point again)

By your reply it seems you dont even have balls, so dont even go there.
Suck it up and take it like a man.
If your bored, go play with yourself. Music obviously isn't for you.
If you have been "playing" for 10 years it would show you have some ability. You obviously dont even care for your craft and make people who actually give a shit and try, look bad.
You also obviously work with stems, you have no sense of originality and come on to this board asking for advice about ...what? How to make your samples sound better? Please
