Hello everyone! i am currently working on 2 trance songs but am at a bit of an impass with my knoledge of reason =/ the sounds that ive been producing so far are either 80's-90's trancey or just to heavy or just not the right sound for what im trying to produce. i cant really explain what im looking for but i know im looking for an awesome lead chord sort of trance synth and a plucky kinda stary synth. if anyone can help in anyway or direct me to to some source of help or info i would greatly apreciate it im stuck bad

What in the world is a "starry" synth? Can you give an example?

more like a plucked synth not alot of delay and kind of like a drop of water sound im havin trouble describing it i guess just trying to get away from the sound of acid synths and gated synths

do you know anything about synthesis? filter and amp envelopes? get reading.

belive it or not i do and actualy thank you for that coment i started to mess around with the properties of the amp envelope and it altered some of the sounds the comb filter was making. Ive found that its helpfull to make aynth that some one has already made thus understanding more of the properties of the particular machine.
