If you want to emulate a slide, all you have to do is extend note A and make it overlap note B. [----means pattern 1,+++means pattern2]
This is what you're trying to do which won't work. You want to slide up with a slide note and you're stopping A at pattern 2.

_______(B)_______
This is what I mean. See how a goes into pattern two and overlaps note B?

Yes, It's true that FL's slide functions doesn't support external VST's, but that doesn't mean shit. Look, sliding is another way of saying PORTAMENTO. When you get certain quality synths for use in a host, look for PORTAMENTO, or PORT. Some synths put this on to fool you, by just making that note slide in it's own pitch range (it sounds "syrupy" or "whirly")
Unfortunately for you, I've tried doing that with crystal and it doesn't seem to work for some reason...there are portamento tabs in the VOICE 1-3 sections, but no dice. It works on claw and SuperwaveP8 though.
Too bad...
