problem with cubase sx and vsts

hello, im sure this is a small problem to you guys, but i need somehting

I have some virtual synths hooked up on my cubase. but for most of them channel volume contril or mixer level for that synth channel will not affect the volume of the synth.

for example waldorf attack, is on channel 1 and the volume at the side (oir mixer slider for that channel) will not affect the vol.

however for the VST Novation V Station its working no problem

thanks so much for your help

ALSO - if possible, I'm trying to hook up my Roland JP 8000 but im having trouble with cubase recognizing the synth. any suggestions or can you direct me to a place where this topic is covered.

thanks for all your help.

try the cubase user forum at:

http://forum.cubase.net/cgi-bin/cubase.net/Ultimate.cgi

there are a lot of cubase users there using a wide mix of sw/hw and can surely help. if all else fails, contact tech support.
