some type of algorithmic drum machine/sequencer?

Im looking for some sort of program (that doesnt require learning a programming language ie: MAX/MSP, etc).

I need something that can create frenzied drum patterns without all the mirco-editing that would normally be required. i cant really describe it better than that. Perferably software recommend, but soemthing-hardware is appreciated as well.

Stylus rmx has a chaos feature that will do what you're after, and will also accept your own drum loops. It's not cheap though....but cheaper than their other vstis.
