I checked this out the other night and remember thinking that it's missing crisp, shuffling high hats. Also the notes seemed kind of long. Instead of having one note that lasts for 1-2 beats, maybe try using 16th notes. For example instead of one long C note, have 3 of them but shorter. Just makes it a little more interesting? You could even have the second of the 3 notes rise up to the next note in the sequence. Make any sense?

Crisp is a good word.. I think that the kick volume sort of drowns out some of the other parts of the song. A good hihat as well would hit the spot. If your planning to frop some huge melody with a great synth riff to back it up then your on the right track!
