Okay Okay, I know this is the wrong forum section, but it seems like the only place to find good constructive criticism on producing, Ive been trying for a few hours to clean up my mix down for this choon, can anyone tell me if it sounds fairly clean? http://www.cristianf.com/mP3_DownLo...xdown test..mp3
Thanks Cristian F

There's a bad disco smile on this one. Otherwise sounds good to me. What did you use for mastering?

This sounds good to me.
Perhaps the kick could be made a little crispier but on the whole it's got a nice balance.
Do you use the standard FL parametriq and other EQ? Or is it plugins?
as mentioned before, the kick could indeed be crispier. the lower frequency spectrum could be cleaned up a little. sounds a little messy at some parts.
but else mastering-wise..thumbs up

Sounds fine to me, although some additional mid frequency percussion could be added to increase the drive of the track. But thats just my opinion.

Overall it's good.
I'll give some constructive critics:
- Try adding a bass sound on a higher octave so you get a bit more drive in the song.
- In the buildup, you got to much random percs. That semi-open hihat sound bothers me. It hits so randomly it seems, and it's not a good sample. Try FX'ing it up with some flanger and delay.
- Kick needs to be tune a little bit. Both EQ and the sample itself so it doesn't "collide" with itself during the rolls. If you're unsure about how to do this, I can make a quick tutorial. It's a good trick!
- The shakers are a tad to high. Lower them by 3 - 4%.
- The guitar sound has a good atmospheric vibe to it. Tweak the EQ a bit. It has a lot more potential. Give it some proper delay and some subtle long reverb.
That's just if you want to be picky. Good tune, good production.

Glad I could help.
I'll try to put together a tutorial. Haven't made any FL tutorials yet, but I'll see what I can do. I'll post it as a new topic once i'm done. I'll see if I can do it before i'm off to a party tonight.
