Wiping factory patches from synths

Yo guys, I have a JP-8080, a Supernova and a Micro Q. Does anyone know how to wipe ALL the patches from these synths without going through them one by one? Cheers.

I've had the µQ and nova but afaik there is no way you can initialise all those patches. Maybe with some patch library tool you can copy one init patch to all banks but I don't know if such a tool exists.

hmmm I know that you can initalize patchs 1 by 1 in the JP... and you can restore it to the factory bank... about reseting everything I'm not sure... will look for it in the manual...

-EDIT-
checked, read, looked everywhere... couldn't find anything about it... you can reset all the JP to factory settings...but I think it already get sound in the factory settings..

there is various software you can download and hook into your synth's midi input which will allow you to edit your patches and libs...

yup... also removing your internal battery(looks like a mini-flashlight battery) will also wipe all your RAM.

in all hardware pieces there is a long term battery(usually 9-11yrs finite) that slowly dips power into the ram so it never shuts off. Just like in a real computer once you boot down all RAM is lost.

there are MANY 3 party patch library programs that let you store presets beyond the RAM... i dont know if they can wipe out presets already in RAM though.

For the JP...

1. press shit + init to enter the initialize menu
2. you should be at the initialize[temp] menu
3. use the up/down buttons to scroll to factory preset
4. press write

another way to do it is to simply unplug it from the wall and plug it back in.
