Question Looking for a true 24bit Sound Card for Fruityloops

Im looking for a true 24bit sound card that playbacks and records at 24bit/96khz sound quality. I will be working mostly with Internal music computer softwares such as fruityloops, wavlab, sound forge, Cubase VST etc.

One of the things that i wanna do with the sound card is Enhance wav files like samples or loops, re-render them from 8bit or 16bit sound to 24bit sound, pretty much enhancing my samples...but the question is , can that be done??? I want a sound card that can do that and pretty much record and playback at professional 24bit sound for a decent price ($200-$400).

If anyone can recommend a sound card or if they own a really good one, let me know about it! cause im in the midst of buying a new spanking computer with a great sound card and loads of music producing softwares.

(please dont mention any of them Sound Blaster cards or Audigy sound cards lol, they playback at 24bit but record at a cheap 16bit rate)

Reply, or email at [email protected].

I don't know if converting from 8/16 bit to 24 is gonna be much help...if you want benefit from the 24 bit you'd have to record the samples in 24 bit (which in my opinion is overkill.....)

Is there a noticeable benefit recording in 24bit???

Using 24 bit will allow a higher dynamic range - i.e. the difference betweeen the loundest and quietest sound, but is it going to be worth it if you make dance music, due to the hi levels of compression added to trax? Id definantely look into this

and also bear in mind the file size will be much larger!

But get a 24bit card, ive just got a ews88mt and it sooo kicks the s***e out of my sblive value
